It all started on July 7, 2017, when the Hack & Beers thing was done for the first time in Vigo. The idea was simple, relaxed talks on computer security, where attendees, in addition to learning, enjoy a good beer, with their subsequent networking between speakers and attendees.

These talks were intended to give visibility to cybersecurity professionals and companies in Galicia (both with their talks and with their sponsorships). These events began to have more and more success and a greater number of participants from different fields, not only technological, but also personnel of state security forces and bodies, as well as lawyers specializing in new technologies …

Maintaining the idea that it is an event with a symbolic price and establishing ourselves as a non-profit association, we have set out to do more than just a Hack & Beers, which would allow us to bring professionals from other parts (not just Galicia) to Vigo to learn and share experiences.
